Professor Niall MacKenzie, PhD, was born in Perth, Scotland, and is a graduate of the University of Glasgow. He is an experienced academic researcher and practitioner who has worked with national development agencies in Scotland (Scottish Enterprise; Scottish Government), Ireland (Forfas), Northern Ireland (DETINI) and the UK (Nesta), local government (Glasgow City Council, Glasgow City Region, Tay Cities Region, Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region, Aberdeen City Region) as well as private sector partners (RSM Tenon, Archangels, institute for Family Business UK, Santander, ALFED, Angel Capital Scotland) on a range of economic and enterprise related activities. He is a non-executive director of a social enterprise and the national association for business angels in Scotland.
